This group exhibition unveils the works of four female artists living in the intricate tapestry of Japanese society through the eye of their foreign kaleidoscope.
In defiance of becoming consumed and molded by their ever-evolving surroundings, the artists have coined the term “Harsh touch”. The term represents their resilience and determination to not succumb to the external social pressures of life in Japan.
Each artist plays with personal discords of embracing their heritage, whilst still nurturing their own unique identities, exploring the challenge of being a young artist navigating a foreign world.
